Automotive Sensors
Our product range of intelligent sensors for Automotive applications comprises – among others – six component wheel-force transducers and steering effort sensors, as well as GPS-based systems for speed/position detection.
Telemetry Steering Wheel
The telemetry steering wheels are specially designed for experiments regarding endurance, comfort and handling by measuring steering torque, steering angle and angular speed. As an option, the steering angle acceleration and linear accelerations in all three directions on the end of the steering column can be measured – e.g. for vibration analysis. For driving experiments, the vehicle steering wheel is substituted by the measuring steering wheel with integrated sensors and electronics. Special adapter shafts, available for most vehicles, enable easy, quick and precise installation. (see also Telemetry Systems)

Speed Measuring
With GPS-based QIC-Speed and radar based DRS-6 two different speed measuring systems are available which avoid known disadvantages of other sensors – for instance the Peiseler wheel – by using a non-contact measuring method.

RPM Measuring
RPM-8000 PRO offers an innovative solution for automotive RPM measurement without the need of an additional sensor: the instrument is simply connected via a standard jack to the cigarette lighter socket and the engine speed is shown directly on the LCD.
